I always have a hard time ranking Mandalay Bay, so I put it in the middle and I'll give you the facts so you can decide. Working against it are the facts that: it's very expensive, comps are hard to come by, it tends to be crowded, particularly in the casino, it's location is somewhat isolated at the end of the strip, and the service leaves something to be desired. Working for it are: one of the best new hotel towers in Las Vegas -- THE Hotel, the best pool scene in Las Vegas, complete with beach, wave pool, and lazy river; good concert events; nice rooms; and a very young and lively crowd.
